Comunidad Connect is section 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with a vision of unity, communication, cooperation, and support between local Nicaraguan residents and foreigners living in or visiting Nicaragua. By bringing together these two communities Comunidad Connect capitalizes on their individual strengths and addresses their individual needs in a way that is mutually beneficial. Comunidad Connect focuses on community development projects around San Juan del Sur, in the southwest of Nicaragua, and in Los Robles, in the Jinotega region in northern Nicaragua. These projects include youth development through athletics, increased access to clean water, recycling, and cultural connections through sustainable tourism. Mission - Bring together local residents, tourists, investors, and local government to foster sustainable development, leadership, and civic engagement through education and collaboration. Vision - We see San Juan del Sur, Los Robles, and other communities in Nicaragua as self-sustainable and cohesive, constantly improving in terms of economic strength, environmental protection, and social stability. Objectives - Foster bilingual dialogue among all community stakeholders through local publications, meetings, and individual interaction; Promote local level leadership and participatory democracy by informing and engaging residents on issues important to the community; Facilitate projects and initiatives to improve quality of life with a bilingual and culturally sensitive staff.
